I usually don’t make statements like the one I am about to make, because I don’t want to make other couples viewing my blog feel like their wedding doesn’t measure up to others I photograph. Every wedding is unique in their own way based upon personalities of the couple, venues and locations, up-tempo weddings, slower – more casual weddings, I love them all. Each provides something different from the previous wedding, a different story, it’s why I am still photographing weddings – for twenty years now.
So what I want to say about Jenna and Thomas’ wedding is that personalities like theirs, and their families and friends come around once, maybe twice a year! If you will take a look at the favorites below – and even the slideshow at the bottom of this post, you will see what I am talking about! The photos in this wedding are clearly about people who are not afraid to show their emotions, their excitement, and all I can say is I had a blast photographing this wedding!!! I honestly had no idea that I was walking into a day like this because I had not met Jenna and Thomas prior to the wedding day. They are from New York and they came back to Jenna’s home state of Michigan to celebrate their nuptials to the pure delight of all their family and friends!
The wedding ceremony took place at the beautiful Academy of the Sacred Heart Church in Bloomfield Hills and their reception was held at the stately Townsend Hotel in Birmingham. The wedding day could not have been a success without the expert planning services of Mikki Gardner-Mood and Shannon Conlan of Mood Events. The extraordinary talents of The Jerry Ross Band, as always, kept the party rocking from the beginning of the night through the very end!
