There are weddings that simply impress — and then there are weddings that immerse you.
Taylor and Travis’ Detroit Athletic Club celebration was the latter — a night where elegance, emotion, and energy unfolded effortlessly.

Their story began simply enough. Taylor was a waitress at a local restaurant where Travis was a regular. After a few polite rejections (and a few more persistent visits), she finally said yes. From that moment, their story has been one of laughter, patience, and undeniable connection, the kind of love that feels both grounded and cinematic.

Few venues carry the sense of history and grandeur that the DAC does. From its marble staircases to the gilded ballrooms, every inch felt alive with timeless detail.
The ceremony took place in the Georgian Ballroom, where soft light poured through tall windows, illuminating a space transformed with breathtaking florals from Emerald City Designs. The palette — classic black and white — framed every moment in sophistication.
Taylor, radiant in her gown, walked the aisle surrounded by towering blooms and the hush of anticipation. The mood was serene, intimate, and deeply romantic.

When the doors opened to the Pontchartrain Ballroom, the tone shifted — the start of an unforgettable celebration.
The Dan Rafferty Band brought the room to life; every song was a reason to move, every note a celebration in itself. Two hundred guests filled the dance floor from the first song to the last, drawn into the rhythm of a night that never slowed down.
Dinner was served in true DAC fashion. Flawless service, plates arriving from oven to table in under five minutes, every detail refined, every moment intentional.

Taylor and Travis’ vision was unmistakably elegant:
black and white stationery, a marble staircase adorned in florals, hallways dressed with petals and light, and a reception room that felt like stepping into a dream.
From their invitation suite to their custom dance floor, every element was part of a cohesive, elevated design. It was a study in restraint and luxury, nothing loud, but everything noticed.
A quiet moment worth mentioning before the ceremony, Taylor received a pair of Christian Louboutins and a few surprises from Travis. Her laughter in that moment, equal parts joy and disbelief, was one of those memories you feel lucky to witness through the lens.
