Alexandra and John’s wedding day was a classic Detroit celebration filled with meaningful locations, elegant architecture, and an easy, joyful energy that carried through every part of the day. Getting Ready in Grosse Pointe and Downtown Detroit
The day began in Grosse Pointe, where Alexandra spent the morning getting ready with her bridesmaids. Hair and makeup took place at The Zealous Root Salon before everyone returned to her parents’ home. The atmosphere was calm and full of excitement, with quiet moments shared between friends and family as the day began to take shape.
Meanwhile, John and his groomsmen prepared at the historic Foundation Hotel in downtown Detroit. The hotel’s timeless design and warm tones created a beautiful setting for capturing candid moments and final preparations before the ceremony.






St. Paul on the Lake Wedding Ceremony in Grosse Pointe Farms
Alexandra and John exchanged vows at St. Paul on the Lake Catholic Church in Grosse Pointe Farms. Overlooking the water, the church offered a meaningful and traditional setting for their ceremony. Surrounded by loved ones, the ceremony felt heartfelt and personal, with genuine emotion woven throughout.

Following the ceremony, the wedding party traveled to downtown Detroit for portraits. One of the stops included the iconic David Whitney Building, where ornate details and dramatic architecture provided a striking backdrop. Alexandra and John’s relaxed energy made photographing these moments feel effortless, allowing their personalities to shine through each image.
We also captured portraits around the Detroit Institute of Arts, using the museum’s grand exterior and clean lines to create timeless images that reflected the couple’s style and Detroit story.
